Thursday, July 13, 2006 Muahahahaha!! Like i told Fiona, Jane, Lee Wong and Mei, I am on my way to reaching Nirvana in the education area, mainly the GCSE 'A' Levels... It was only today, this afternoon after getting back my GP Paper 2 did i suddenly realise something. If you can link this situation to that if the past, it would have probably been like Alexander Fleming shouting, "Eureka!" Upon his discovery of Penicillin. As well as the time when an apple fell onto Sir Issac Newton's head resulting in his scienticfic discovery on the Law of Gravity. Obviously, I'm not saying that i'm like them, but just saying that that kind of feeling one gets, suddenly being able to grasp the meaning of things, it's even better than that sense of satisfaction one would get from cracking a difficult math(or any other subject) problem. It's like what I told Fiona, strange as things seem (and maybe the way life is), despite being in an Arts class, the subjects we study with the small exception of Literature (and even still i'm unsure about it), but to do well for our sbjs, we must follow the format! It's like building a house, once you have a rough sketch of it, you know how things should proceed from there. Like my English teacher told us when we write a narrative, "You should always start with building the skeleton and from there, you add in the necessary details to form the story's body." But, to get that skeleton, you have to follow the order of things. You can't possibly join the ankle bone to the hip bone! Same logic, follow the order of things. Take history for example. Follow the presecribed format include everything Mr Yew keeps emphasizing on then, voila! You have built your skeleton already. Whatever dates, numbers, events and places that we have to remember than forms the "flesh" of that skeleton! As long as you follow the order of things, know your facts well and with a little luck I'm quite confident that you'd be able to grasp the subject well. Anyways, I had better go sleep, my dad's probably grumbling about my late nights again... Haiz... I count the seconds till i meet you... just like you counting the seconds to your death... 7:54 AM |
