drum roll please!! *drum roll....!!!*

And now presenting a poem (second one but first in 3 years), done by yours truly!!
Presenting: Futility!!!

Upward roll, upward roll…
Time ticks and it upbraids
Yet motionless I have to remain

Pushing, pushing,
A trench has been dug,
Forward they march

Upward roll, upward roll…
The faces flash before me
Silent chiding of the moustache man

Feigning pain, feigning pleasure
The continued thrusting,
In and out…

Yet motionless I remain,
Nothing can be done
Upward roll, upward roll…

Inspired by Sylvia Plath's style of writing, extra big chocolate for anyone who can guess the REAL subject of the poem. As once said by a teacher, she has the knack of magnifying, enlarging and exaggerating the simplest of things till the point of surrealism... hee!!
